What
are your strongest/weakest traits?
- I believe my strongest
trait is my loyalty. I will be loyal until I can no longer be loyal. I wronged
my father by my disobedience and defiance and I regret that. I have turned from
being a willful child focused on my own interests to a woman seeing more of
this life than any gently bred woman should ever need to. Still, if it is
within my power, I will remain loyal and steadfast.
What
are your fears?
-My
deepest fear is that this will truly be my life, that I will never have a more
fulfilling life than this. That I will always cower in fear of being noticed or
of attention being called to me and have no one who will protect me from the
advances of those who would seek their own pleasure at my expense.
Most
embarrassing thing that ever happened to you?
-Aw
in my younger days! Yea, I was quite embarrassed when my father came upon me
and Tadhg in the stable. Our first kiss. I remember the warmth and the smell
surrounding us. Tadhg's strong arms surrounding me, holding me tight, as if
he'd never let me go. We were young then but I sensed in him an inner strength,
something I could hold on to, something that could help me to learn to become a
strong woman, something wonderful and exciting.
What
is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
-Ah! My tears! I hate that I cry despite
my resolve to hold firm and steady, tears dampen my face even as I'm gritting
my teeth in determination. Not fair! The turmoil within shows all over my face.
The men? They see only the tears and do not hear what I say. I do not want
their pity. I want their respect.
What
people do you most admire?
-I
admire a man who can lower his guard and allow love into his life. I believe it
is a scary prospect for most men. It requires fortitude and faith in themselves
to allow a woman close. Many men would not give a woman a chance to get that
close, they do not trust them. But a man that loves? Truly love? That is a man
I admire. They will be stronger together—a man and a woman. It goes against
everything that men are to open their hearts. An admirable quality indeed.
If
you were to get a gift, what would be the best gift to get?
-Any
gift? The gift of the days that have
passed. I dinna ken to hold them close to my heart, to pay special attention to
every sound, every sight, every smell. I dinna realize their importance. I
dinna realize they would not last. If I had, I would have treasured each
moment, pondering it in my heart, and it would warm me now during the cold of
the solitary nights.
What
do you consider the most overrated virtue?
-Restraint! My father raised me to hold
my tongue, not to express my own thoughts or desires, to wait until I was asked
and then only to answer that which was asked. Bullocks! I have many thoughts
which could have helped but I was not given the chance to voice them. I stood
by and remained stoic, showing restraint. Extremely overrated that!
What
season do they enjoy most? And why?
-I
love the spring best. The wildflowers, the birds, the sunshine. It all speaks
to new life. New hope. New future.

Great book. Glad I read it all before I deciding if I loved it or liked it. This book brings all the stories together and makes sure the hero and heroine were covered. It is awesomely done.
You really have to see deep into their soul on this one. See past the imperfections, to the real person down below it all. Not always what you see out in the open is what is truly the person.
You will love both Tisa O'Brien and Tadhg MacNaughton. They are strong and needy in their own ways. They truly know what they want and need. They also know when the time is right to get it.
